Aduro

Redmond, WA

When Aduro decided to move out of two small commercial buildings spread across multiple floors to a single floor containing 21,212 square feet, the goal was to gain more flexibility with their space and to grow their work force.  The ability to cross collaborate between departments and to enhance communication through formal and informal venues was critical to the space and their culture.  Unifying the large, but irregular floor plate together are three ceiling fan elements that provide a sense of continuity, orientation and hierarchy.   Weekly all-company meetings are facilitated by a large gathering space which ties into an exterior patio in the courtyard of the building.  Finishes are intended to allow the client’s marketing collateral and special volume to take precedence with splashes of color from furniture and warmth from the flooring materials.
